Batches
Add batch
Seed stages run back to back, ending when the next stage is inoculated. Seed volumes come from the inoculum percentages in Setup.
Step 1 · batches per month
How many batches each fermenter should run in each month. Leave a cell at zero to skip it.
Step 2 · project and strain per fermenter
Only fermenters with at least one batch above need filling in. The post-harvest lockout from Setup is applied automatically. Extra gap is anything further you want on top of it, in days, and can be left at zero.
Step 3 · review and approve
Clear the plan
Future means production has not started yet. Batches already running or finished are left alone unless you delete everything.
Shift the schedule
Use after a batch is cut short. Every future batch on that fermenter moves to the earliest slot that still clashes with nothing, keeping its order.
A faint line every day, a firm one every Monday, weekends shaded. The top lane counts how many fermenters are busy each day. Each fermenter has its own colour: solid for production, a light tint for a seed stage, a dashed outline for the post-harvest lockout. Bars show project and batch number, with strain and charge volume beneath when there is room; hover for the full code and times. Dashed stretches are idle, labelled with their length. Admins can drag any bar sideways to move the whole batch, snapped to the hour; a red outline means it would clash. Right-click a bar to remove that batch.
Success rate
Rate is counted over closed batches only. Pending batches are excluded from the denominator.

Projects
Batch codes are built as project / strain / FER / vessel / year / number. The number runs per project across every fermenter, continuing from the highest already used this year.
Strain register · edit any field directly
The code is the identifier batches point at, so it must be unique. Editing a code here updates every batch using it. The display setting controls cards, tables, the queue and the timeline.
Fermenters
Lockout is the minimum idle after a harvest before that fermenter may be used again, in days, and nothing can be scheduled into it. Seed clean is the shorter turnaround after a seed transfer, in hours, since that is not a harvest.
Seed trains
Three stages per fermenter. Set a stage to "flask / lab" if it does not occupy a fermenter. A stage held in a fermenter reserves that vessel and can clash with production.
